Superb textured Riesling undergoing barrel fermentation and matured for 10 months on lees which could destroy the fruit, but it doesn’t as it still retains some lovely precise primary aromas of lemon pith, with an added funky struck match note. Zesty acid driven palate with a long satisfying finish. Alter Weg translated meaning ‘old way’ a reference to its traditional Germanic winemaking approach
