From a vineyard planted in 1858 which makes it one of the oldest. A top Grenache in the modern reserved style. Aromas focused on red fruits including cherry, raspberries as well as a touch of sweet spice. Lovely soft velvet wine which just makes it into medium bodied. Fine grain tannins, elegant and well balance with a textured, slightly warm, finish. 3% Mataro and 2% shiraz in the mix as well. A truly lovely wine showing how great Grenache can be.
