Juicy bright cherry driven red with noticeable, powdery, fine tannins and ripe plum driven fruit on the palate. Overall an elegant medium bodied wine that has sufficient weight and complexity to be a reserve style wine. Good stuff, sourced from Balgownie vineyard fruit.
Musk Lane Faraday Vineyard Pinot Noir 2021, Macedon/Bendigo Victoria
Lovely primary red fruit drive nose with ripe cherries and redcurrants nicely supported by cedar oak. Light bodied wine with a nice solid middle palate showing good fruit ripeness. Persistent, yet soft, dry, tannic finish. Extremely satisfying Pinot.
Passing Clouds Graeme’s Shiraz Cabernet 2020, Bendigo, Vic
Ripe primary fruit driven nose with lovely blackberries and plums. Rich and full bodied with bold cherry ripe, mint and chocolate flavours. Well balanced with well integrate tannins for such a robust wine. Traditional Bendigo red.
Passing Clouds Shiraz 2019, Bendigo, Vic
A blend of 3 vineyards. Pungent blackberries with earthy, licorice notes. Rich full bodied wine with attractive fine dry tannins. Plums and licorice flavours dominate the palate. Well balanced with a slightly warm homely finish. Well priced wine.
Passing Clouds The Angel Cabernet Sauvignon 2018, Bendigo, Victoria
Extended post maceration and 18 months in oak gives this wine a lovely texture and dry tannic finish. Medium plus body with nicely balanced black fruit and cedar oak.
Water Wheel Memsie Shiraz 2014, Bendigo Victoria.
Probably the best value for money wine I tasted whilst composing the 6th edition, Peppery nose, bags of sweet red fruit. Jammy, full bodied.
Bendigo Shiraz 2014.
Suprising strong white pepper on the nose. Soft sweet fruit, a hint cooked but has enough style to finish dry. Great value for money.
