Nose is full of earth, ripe cherries with sweet cinnamon spices. Dry. medium bodied with similar levels of tannins. Acid slightly to the fore with noticeable touches of youthful sour cherries. Good example of the variety.

Highly scented cranberries and slightly muted jammy notes. Full bodied wine with plenty of sweet black cherry fruits on the front palate. As it progresses on the palate the wine becomes firm, dry and tannic. Good varietal example.

Grown in the Vine Vale sub region of the Barossa t Grown in the Vine Vale sub region of the Barossa these 1896 vines, grown on alluvial granitic sandy soil, have produced a wine full of blueberries, black cherries, vanilla with a touch of graphite. Full bodied, yet restrained, the smooth seamless palate is primary fruit driven. Vine vale is more renowned for Grenache but when Shiraz takes the stage it’s elegant and refined. Well done Brett Grocke @eperosawine Rating is outstanding in the 7th edition Australian Wine Guide #barossavalley #barossawine #shiraz #southaustralia
