Zig Zag Rd

Zig Zag Rd Kind Folk Red, 2019, Macedon Ranges, Vic

by | May 1, 2022

Predominantly Cabernet with some Merlot. Lovely expressive nose full of cooler climate Cabernet fruit. So we have leafy, mint, herbs and eucalyptus notes. Well balanced medium bodied palate with a core of black cherries, medium tannins and a return to that autumnal leaf notes. Lovely, elegant wine sourced from 50 year old vines. Well priced.

Highly Recommended (Score range 92-94)

A quality focused wine that has plenty of style. Length of palate and intensity are often key characteristics of highly recommended wines. These producers could be the ones to watch in the future.

Recommended (Score range 89-91)

An above average well-made, reflection of the style/variety, which often represents good value for money.
