Yeringberg Shiraz 2019, Yarra Valley, Vic

by | Mar 16, 2022

Attractive complex nose of cured meats, vanilla, blueberries and cherries laced with a whiff of white pepper. Nose leads you into thinking of a full bodied wine but in fact it is medium bodied, elegant with fine tannins producing a supple velvet wine. Flavours consist of red and black berry fruits with hints of licorice and chocolate. Long, slightly tannic finish. An accomplished wine. Co-fermented with 3% Viognier. This wine is a blend of three fermentation techniques, whole berry, whole bunch and destemmed. 18 months in oak of which 35% is new.
