Strong blackberry, blueberry and jammy aromas. Primary fruit driven nose. Full bodied palate with strong black cherry and licorice. Fine dry tannins produce a medium finish. This grape is what is behind the best Ports from Portugal and makes a fine table wine. Heslop planted Touriga Nacional as well as Tinta Cao in Mudgee way back in 1984.
