Heggies Vineyard Reserve Chardonnay 2017, Eden Valley, SA

by | Jan 28, 2022

Single block single clone (Bernard) chardonnay which spends 16months on lees in French oak. After saying all that it is refined and lemony. There is a lovely saline, roasted nuts and vanilla butter nose. But the palate points to its origins being dry with racy citrus acidity and intense middle palate. Long finish. Great chardonnay.

Outstanding (Score range 95-100)

Highly Recommended (Score range 92-94)

A quality focused wine that has plenty of style. Length of palate and intensity are often key characteristics of highly recommended wines. These producers could be the ones to watch in the future.

Recommended (Score range 89-91)

An above average well-made, reflection of the style/variety, which often represents good value for money.
