Glorious intense fruit cake, raisins and Christmas dried figs. What gets me is the balance. Yes it is sweet and intense on the palate but there is a savoury edge that balances the lusciousness. Flavours on the nose continue on the palate as well as offering treacle, and caramel. But its all so well balanced with that sweetness being cut, which means you can enjoy a second glass. Superb.
