New leather, oaky driven nose with a touch of black cherry. The palate has sweet fruit, well balance, with supple and velvet tannins. Elegant medium bodied wine where the Eden valley fruit seems to dominate. Pre-release tasting so price is only an indication.
Flaxman The Stranger Shiraz/Cabernet Sauvignon 2018. Barossa Valley and Eden Valley, SA
Complex nose displaying earthy, cedar oak and a touch of pepper and herbs. Dry medium plus body with some tomato leaf, violets and sweet plums on the palate. The blend is 62/38 in favour of Shiraz but the Cabernet seems to dominant this elegant blend.

Earthy, cedar, vanilla and blackberry aromas. Dry full bodied with a sweet supple fruit driven front palate. Lovely textured wine with fine dry tannins and a slightly warm finish. Good potential for ageing, but equally good to drink now.

Pretty nashi pear, almond meal and marzipan nose. Dry with a good level of fresh acidity in the front and middle palate. More pear and almond but with also a touch of red apple. Medium finish. Good winemaking.
Yalumba The Virgilius Viognier 2018, Eden Valley, SA
Musky, floral nose with hints of peach and apricots. Textured and soft on the palate. Nice aromatics and front palate, I expected more on the back palate and finish. Shows some good varietal characteristics.
Heggies Vineyard Reserve Chardonnay 2017, Eden Valley, SA
Single block single clone (Bernard) chardonnay which spends 16months on lees in French oak. After saying all that it is refined and lemony. There is a lovely saline, roasted nuts and vanilla butter nose. But the palate points to its origins being dry with racy citrus...
Pewsey Vale The Contours Riesling 2015, Eden Valley, SA
Museum release wine. Powerful honey, toast and lemon on the nose. Dry and nicely acid driven palate with an array of flavours. such as creme caramel, lemon balm, brioche and honey. Dry slightly chalky finish.
Pewsey Vale Riesling 2021, Eden Valley, SA
Lemon, lime and floral nose. Dry light bodied wine with zesty flavours and crisp apple acidity driving the palate. Medium plus finish. Classic vineyard and wine.
